GVMHA is required to follow the City of Vernon - Return to Play Policy. As of today we are looking at 20 players per group with 3 Coaches.
Tryouts - September 8 to September 25: Players will have 2/3 practices and then Hockey Canada Skills testing. Top 20 players (Including 2 goalies) in group 1, then the next 20 players in group 2. Any remaining players will join the Recreation Assessments (check the website for the schedules).
Recreation Assessments - begins the week of September 28: Players will have 2/3 practices and then Hockey Canada Skills testing. Even groups of 20 will be formed from the test results. Email the Division Director for information.
Emails will be sent and schedules posted
OMAHA is trying to get approval for our teams to play in cohorts of 4 or 6 and have games starting in November. All practices until then will be working on skill development and skating. We are being updated by viaSport and BC Hockey as we move forward, and if protocols change we will notify everyone.
There are 30 minutes between ice sessions. One entry into the building and one exit. No spectators are permitted in the stands and 1 parent can be in the building if necessary. Social distancing is a must, in the building and on the ice.
