To all Officials,
As we prepare for our upcoming season, there are a few things that everyone should be made aware of..
We will be proceeding this season with the health and safety of all officials and players as our number one priority. We will have extremely strict guidelines that will be in place to ensure that everyone is safe and can come to the rink and enjoy themselves.
The clinics should be booked within the next week or so. In preparation for that, EVERY official needs to complete the ‘Planning a Safe Return to Hockey’ online module. No exceptions. It is FREE and the link is listed below.
For those officials that are 18 years and older, you need to complete a Criminal Record Check prior to registering. BC Hockey covers the cost of this. The link is listed below.
BC Hockey is still working on the final details of all the clinics, but I can tell you that courses will be offered online and/or in person depending on the individual Associations. ALL NEW officials will have to attend a in person clinic. We will set these up with smaller numbers so that we can maintain the social distancing protocols that are in place.
So, for now, please prepare yourselves by completing the necessary task ahead of time. If you do not have these completed, you will not be permitted to register for any clinic. NO officials are permitted to skate any games/scrimmages until they have taken the clinic with BC Hockey.
I will be posting the clinic dates as I have them.
Thank you all for your patience and I hope you are excited to get going!!

Adults (age 18 and older) will have to have a Criminal Record Check done prior to registering for the clinic. A CRC is required every 3 years. You cannot even register for a clinic now without having the CRC registered with BCAHA now so get them done.
Please ensure that all game sheets are filled out properly; including the arena, start and finish times, and clearly print and sign your full name. Game sheets are legal documents, and it is the officials responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the information it contains. Please review game sheet data before and after the game.
Game Reports: All game reports are done online through the ehockeycanada website.
