The 2024/25 GVMHA registration is completed online using a computer or tablet (not your phone) utilizing the TeamSnap platform.
Payment can be processed using credit card at checkout or by e-transfer following checkout.
Installment options are available for both methods of payment with 1/3 due at registration, 1/3 on or before July 31 and the remaining 1/3 due on or before Aug 31. The credit card method is done automatically. The e-transfer method needs to be done manually by you the parent.
The 1/3 minimum due at registration is REQUIRED even if you are applying for financial assistance in order to receive the early bird discount. The only exception is players trying out for U15 AF , U15AA and U18AA teams who may be released back to the association.

Each team collects funds from parents for team clothing, attendance at out of town tournaments, playoffs, etc. The dollar amount depends on each teams plans for the season. Team fees can vary by team with $300 being an average. The fees can be reduced if the team does fundraising. Once teams are formed, a team meeting led by the coach and manager will be scheduled to discuss and set the team fees for the team. A portion of teams fees can be returned to parents at the end of the season if unused. The refund can not be greater than the amount originally collected.

If moving in from another Association please complete this form Move with Parent Form (2023) and email it to administrator@gvmha.com with subsequent proof of residency in GVMHA boundaries. Documents should include a Purchase, Rental or Tenancy Agreement, Utility bill showing parents name and new address, driver's license showing parent name and new address and/or Canada Post change of address.

Players wanting to tryout for Rep hockey in Vernon from an adjacent Association, must pre-register with their home Association and submit with the Permission to Tryout Form (for U13 T1, U15AA and U18AA teams) and the Residential Waiver - Carded Teams form (for U18 T2, U15 T2, U13 T2/T3) and the Residential Waiver - Recreation for U11 Dev to GVMHA (administrator@gvmha.com) before August 30th.
Tryout fees for U15AA and U18AA can be sent to swakelin@omahahockey.ca.
For U13 T1 the fee is $200 for main camp and can be paid when you register by following the TeamSnap link below.

Residential Waiver - Recreation Teams
If coming to Vernon to play on a recreation team from an Adjacent Association. Home Association must declare No Team in Category.
Please note - if you are playing in Vernon on a "Residential Waiver" you MUST register with your home Association prior to being able to apply for a "Residential Waiver" transfer for each season. Your Hockey Canada profile automatically returns to your home Association database at the end of every season.
For GVMHA members who wish to try-out for Junior Hockey, BC Hockey Regional Programs or OMAHA Zone Teams and intend to play in Vernon should you not make one of those teams; we recommend pre-registering with GVMHA and sending an email to administrator@gvmha.com expressing your intention to tryout at a higher level. Fee's will not be due and payable unless you return to play in Vernon, but you will have a spot secured.
Please use the Move with Parent Form if you are moving into our Association, or the Residential Waiver-Carded or Residential Waiver - Recreation if coming to Vernon because of No Team in Category in your home Association

Grindstone Award Foundation - Assistance with Female Hockey Registration
The Grindstone Award Foundation enables young female players the opportunity to participate and improve their skill development in the sport of hockey. We provide financial support to young female hockey players who have the desire to play but are unable to for financial reasons.
The KidSport Program provides grants to help cover the costs of registration fees to that all kids aged 18 and under in Vernon can play a season of sport.
